By now you have figured out I am in some kind of contest. The CommentLuv/Famous Blogger contest is designed to teach participants that successful blogging takes a lot more than just putting posts on the web. It takes interaction with a community of bloggers and blog readers across the web. This contest benefits garden bloggers by helping us create communities out of our niches and subniches.
So far, I have learned an incredible amount about what to write, how to present it, how to find an audience, and how to give that audience pertinent posts. Fostering conversation between the audience, other bloggers, and myself creates communities. This translates into increased readership and higher blog rankings.
The contest stretches through the middle of August, so I hope to learn more still. Below I list my entry posts. I will be adding to them as I write new ones. Please visit the entries on Famous Blogger and ComLuv and leave a comment so I get points toward winning. One liners don’t count, so make it good. Thanks.
We can write posts about the sponsors for extra credit. Below are mine:
Reclaimed lumber is green talks about GoodMillwork
NowRelevant: A search engine that discovers opening niches is about NowRelevant.com and on GrowMap (thanks, Gail)
Watching People Watch Social Media is about Social Implications and is on Famous Bloggers
Longest.com can help with that is about Brian Longest and his GoDaddy coupons and is on GrowMap.
